It's 1:10 am in Detroit. The temp is a balmy 72, the wind is out of the north at 55 mph and today's high and low will -both- be exactly XX degrees F.
Not too bad for February 7, 2009.
I gave it two stars because it's mostly a good gadget with great eye appeal, but isn't especially reliable. It's a good idea looking for a bit better implementation. Visually it is head and shoulders above the alternatives ... but it's not much use if it's not accurate.
Aesthetically, this gadget is great - worthy of 5 stars. I really like the wind speed and direction indicator. Now, the reason it only got 1 star from me is that it never updates! I have to switch from "Live Conditions" to something else and when I switch back, the latest data is displayed. So, unfortunately, the gadget is rather useless until that's fixed.
Overall, I like it, but it doesn't update the temperature frequently enough. I can see weather.com's "Desktop Weather" temperature change at least 5 times before this widget updates its temperature.
Well, WeatherBug definitely has one thing right, there is a bug in this gadget. The location from where it retrieves weather data sometimes shifts for me. When I shift it back to what I want, it will stay for a few seconds, then it'll annoy me and switch around again. This NEEDS to be fixed!
annoying when it changes station on its own, also, now it made itself smaller, so I cant read it. My screen resolution did not change. Whats up with that?
Not accurate and changes to some bizarre place without notice. Every time I reboot my computer it changes to deg F. I am comfortable seeing temp in deg F , but prefer metric when I am outside. But the look and feel is good.
This is my favorite weather gadget, but somehow the station shifts uncontrolled and I can't keep it to indicate the local weather which is what I need. Can something be done about that?
I wanted weather feedback for calcutta, india and I have done the links properly but despite that the icon mentions the name of different city (varanasi) the sattelite picture couldnot show Delhi , India instead it showed bangladesh , and eastern part of asia .
